Direct football

Man City play three passes from CB to wing back to striker and score and everyone says they cut through teams and it’s wonderful.
We play 2-3 passes and score and we’re long ball merchants.
I think the premier league is in for a shock next season.

We don’t play possession football but it’s not long ball. We just play wide and fast.
Yeah , the practice of using wingers was commonplace until Alf Ramsey won the World Cup with a very different style.All teams put crossed in , even Man City. Is there an unwritten rule stating that these crosses only come from certain areas? What the Whiners are failing to grasp is that the second best defence in the Championship was not the result of ' route one'.

We are the new “crazy gang” 9 years from non league to top tier and we don’t try to play technical football as we play winning football and winning is what matters.
You get 3 points for a win.
You get 0 points for aesthetically pleasing football.
Every manager in football wants to play like Man City if they could. But being a manager is getting the best out of the players you've got,we are physical and athletic and competitive And more importantly as shown yesterday an unbelievable work ethic and spirit, we were on the ropes for a lot of the second half imo but dug in

Been thinking the same. Direct football done well is great football. To many teams tap it around. Teams know what we like to do but they cant stop it
