This game has the same referee as we had at Sunderland.

According to the EFL site, Keith Stroud is refereeing it. He never referees competitive Luton games as he supports us.

Yep you're right, it is Keith Stroid. My apologies.

When I get really bored I like to put a candle into my rectal cavity with the wick pointing outwards. I then light the candle up and pretend I am a rocket ship as I run around the bedsit singing rocketman by elton john.

Different situation,, but Celtic and Rangers is almost always 1200 kick off. To stop mass drinking before hand. Notice several people talking about what time alcohol is being served for Saturday. Why ? Alcoholics? Want to test their bladders? Dutch courage?
The sane, the elderly, youngsters, don't need or want this. Maybe Thatcher was right and there is no society.....

Spot on AN. Never understood why so many feel the need to get plastered before going to football.

Me, I don't go to the pub, don't feel the need. I go to the game, watch it closely, ignoring my phone unlike others who seem to spend more time on their phone than watching the game, then when the game is over I go home.

I bet you tut when people next to you talk during the game, personally most games bore me to death, I need to be half cut to enjoy it, football is just an excuse to get away from the family for a few hours, chat shit, and get drunk. The game usually gets in the way of it. Used to love football up until the early 2000's when I realised most players are failed estate agents with worse personalities.

😂😂your last sentence made me smile .
I am not quite in your camp as don’t find Luton games boring as have an invested interest but definitely like a beer before and after.
I would say football is now my third favourite sport after rugby and cricket but was my favourite during my childhood and up to the age of about 30 .
Used to play all three and watch a bit of golf …now play golf and watch the other three !! 😂😂

Good for you, but horses for courses.

In my younger days I'd get into luton on a Friday and leave on a Sunday after a 2 day bender.

Now I mostly drive over before a game and drive back after. Sometimes go for a beer before but only occasionally.

I'll be going for a beer before Watford because I've waited since I was boy to play them at home and I want to see some friends

The 90 minutes of football often gets in the way of a good day out.
It's about the social aspect as much as its about what happens on the pitch.

As for some of these dull fuçks on this thread bemoaning booze at football, you'd have to be a proper sadistic bastard to have watched some of those conference days sober.
