Wonder when we’re even gonna have the privilege of seeing the detailed plans that are apparently completed a few weeks ago of Power Court !!

Anyone would think they don’t want to share them!!

The latest accounts said they were complete so shouldn't be too much longer.

Here's another one that is taken in by all this substation malarkey

If the substation was such a HUGE issue, how come it was hardly mentioned years and years ago when PC was first announced?

It smacks of yet another excuse used as a delaying tactic.

Most of us have known about it from the start because it was an issue from the start. This is from the Utilities Report dated August 2016 submitted with the rest of the initial planning application.

Glad you accept you were talking shite about the substation.

You've moved on to the 7 years wait. Have you noticed anything in those 7 year? Probably not as you seem a bit dim - changing the local plan, C&R's opposition, Covid, price of resources rocketing, labour shortages, Ukraine war causing steel shortages, getting the substation sorted, rejigging the plans to accomodate all these problems.

I assume you're under ten years old because the rest of us knew from 2016 that the main problems at Power Court were the river, the contamination and the Substation. GS talked about it in numerous interviews, in the programme, newspapers and on the roadshow that did the rounds. The dedicated website also mentioned it. So the hahaha is on you.

if the council do not approve the planning application to move the sub-station, then we would not be able to put in a planning application for the stadium. why? because the present location of the sub-station is on the footprint of the planned stadium.

It was always known that the substation and contamination would be major issues (and costs).

Moving a substation is a massive task and it took a long battle to get to the point where they could even start the relocation of it.

My understanding is the substation supplies electricity to the whole town centre.
It's obviously not going to be a quick, easy job.
