    Harry Kane

In case someone did not mention before (a young) Harry Kane played for Norwich City FA Cup 26 January 2013 and was taken off at half time. He's done rather well since. A great game, and as ever fine away team support. It ensured easyJet sponsorship for another season, the airline that copied our primary colours. Big parking problems getting out and a long drive back.

Panatone 021C 'easyorange' Stellios wanted a livery that no other airline used, so not because of the mighty hatters.

Stelios co designed some of his livery at my old company in Luton he was very hands on.

The fact is easyJet was going to drop the Luton Town sponsorship but the then CEO Carolyn McCall (not a football fan) had seen the news feature and signed on for one more season. easyJet has lost out as any future deal will cost a great deal more. The easyJet Luton stadium has a nice ring about it.

A long drive back ? From Norwich to Luton ? It's 100 miles for goodness sake, on first class roads, two hours best, two and a half hours worst.

We played in Blue and white when easyjet were founded.

I think we switched back to orange to coincide with their sponsorship in 2009?

that is incorrect, easy jet was founded 1995, we played in orange around 1974

I wouldnt say easyjet chose the colours because we played for them for about 8 years in the 70s.

Personally, I prefer us in white

fair point, i believe we did return to predominantly orange prior to the easyjet sponsorship, but I believe we 1st started to play in orange in the 70s.

We had a season 99/00 back in orange IIRC?

                      Yes we did.

We had a 2 year deal with Olympic Sports when SKF became our shit sponsor. The 99/00 season saw us playing in the orange and blue combination with the white and black version our away kit.
For the 00/01 season we switched them over. OS also introduced our silver shirts which was really nice and a shame it only got worn once at Sunderland in a league cup game that I think we lost 3-0.

Did see someone last night saying "oh but how many of his England goals have been pens compared to rooney, greaves, Lineker etc"

Always struck me as odd that "penalties don`t count" (If penalties don't count we are about 8 points better off this season!)

I wish one more of his england goals had been a penalty!

Penalties are easy to score and the scorer might not have been involved in the penalty situation what so ever. It’s a cheap goal, that can’t be denied.

Personally i think Bobby charltons record is the best as he was playing with a ball with laces that weighed a ton when wet and even dry weighed far more than the ones used today and most of his goals were from a long way out too, hardly any Tap ins.Still brilliant from Harry Kane though and hes another true gentleman aswell.

there's an argument that Bobby Charlton is England's greatest ever player.
