I've had a few ref rage moments recently when, having seen opposing keepers take the piss out of refs with time wasting at KR for years, every time we seem to take the lead the ref immediately jumps on us for any hint of it.
Consistency across refereeing though is the key. Last nights ref set out his stall with yellow cards for time wasting early doors. Players/teams wouldn’t continue doing it if all refs applied the rules like last nights ref. The fact that other teams have being doing it to us at home consistently, with just a warning from the ref and no card even from the first goal kick is infuriating. We have become wiser to the dark arts as a team ourselves because we can get away with it, which is reaping its rewards, but does spoil the game somewhat.
Ah , right , didn't like the bookings or sending off ? I can understand that. What I couldn't understand was that , one after another, players dived in to get booked for time wasting. Far too harsh on the ref's part
