Always enjoyed trips there to both stadiums. Always welcome in local pubs with colours on.
Friendly and knowledgeable bunch. More down to earth than Newcastle fans. Less nutcases than boro!
Not that I went but my mother in law who passed away several years ago was from Sunderland. Moved south with her mum in her teens. Took her back there in 2016. Love it up there plus weather was good for the beach. She remembered Roker Park and we walked where the old ground was. Her grandfather's ashes we scattered there. Now a Morrisons I seem to remember.
