I don’t want VAR but I would like refs that are less quick to give penalties. It’s such a game deciding thing and I think it’s given much too often. If it’s a clear scoring chance and there is no doubt there is a foul, then it’s a penalty. All these “there was some contact” and chipping the ball at someone’s arm from short range situations shouldn’t be.

Not a fan of VAR but the referring standard this season is as poor as I have ever seen at this level. To be fair todays ref hasn't done bad but he has got a major decision wrong, maybe lack of experience at this level and probably the linesman in his ear as the ref didnt give the pen straight away..
