about us being a direct lump it forward team come from .... just saw the start of Mowbray's press conference (before I died of boredom) he mentioned that we are direct and physical .... who does the scouting for these teams, we are so much more than that under Rob Edwards, we were fairly direct under Nathan but physical is just nonsense, under Nathan we played a midfield of Clark, Campbell and Freeman really physical!!
Are they just lining up excuses before they play us or are they just stock answers ill educated managers that struggle to inspire (but somehow keep getting jobs) role out every game (Mowbray, Pearson the bloke at Sheff U)

Physical doesn't mean dirty. I Spoke to a Scout the other week who saw Luton play at Coventry. He said and this was his words. Hard team to play against , strong , physical and very competitive, I don't see anything wrong with that ? Isn't that what we are?
Definitely not direct since RE took over (will admit, we were a bit predictable under NJ this season).
I think the physical side of things comes from the pressing we do so well, not giving the prima Donna's time to settle on the ball. Not dirty, just hard.
Physical means we have players who compete. Who don`t give them a minutes respite and who won`t get bullied out of the game. Its something for other fans to latch onto as if we are wimbeldon mk 2.
Ultimately if you have CB`s who are only comfortable against small nippy forwards and not proper no.9`s and strikers who cry when they get kicked you haven't` built your squad right. As for midfield I don`t think you can call Jordan Clark a bully. Or Luke Berry. But all can tackle. So basically its a moan as we dont allow multi million pound players time to showcase their skills. And why should we?
If he genuinely thinks that then let him use that as part of his pre-match preparation and then watch it all come undone* for 90 minutes as we rip into them!
