    Guessing the lineup for tomorrow

Posted by Hippo on 6/2/2023, 12:37:21

    Horvath
    Onyedinma, Osho, Lockyer, Bell, Doughty
    Campbell, Mpanzu, Clark
    Adebayo, Woodrow

Subs: Shea, Burke, Watson, Thorpe, Berry, Morris, Pettit, Pepple, Lansbury (if fit enough)/A.Jones.

I can see Burke and Morris maybe being rested. Pepple has squad number on website now (#27), but that may mean nothing.

Development Squad playing same night could mean Pettit, Jones and Pepple play there, and maybe some under 18’s who play tonight travel to Grimsby for the experience.

Some teams would just name less than the 9 allowed subs, but don’t think I’ve seen Luton do that before. We will find out tomorrow!

There's a strong case for resting a lot of players - Lockyer, Doughty, Pelly and Clark too. More important game on Saturday and next Wednesday

I don't like resting too many players for the cup competitions but I reckon we might. Got a long midweek trip next week too

At first, I thought we might go quite strong for the replay but I don't think we will now. Should have put the first game to bed really

Need to remember that winning a 5th round against Southampton is worth £225,000 plus a share of the gate. So probably will not be big changes in team.

Berry and Watson could come into centre-mid. I think Thorpe has played right wing-back before, which would allow Fred to move to the left, and Doughty to have a rest. It’s just whether Edwards thinks Thorpe is ready.

Defensive options a bit light with Potts and Bradley injured, and Drameh cup-tied.
