          the thing is, EV can usually travel into the city centre and do not pay congestion/emission charges. the people who can afford the purchase of EVs are reasonably wealthy, the people who will not be able to afford the EV and will have to pay these charges will be the low-paid or not wealthy. it is the same as the people who can least afford it are penalised just like they are for pre-payment of gas and electricity. its just not fair.

            Or use public transport/cycle/walk for journeys where a car is completely unnecessary.
