The first of many giant killings in my time of watching LTFC. Celebrating on the “Football specials” on my way home from Newcastle, after a 2-0 win in the FA Cup. Great memories of the day.

I Remember being at that game - I believe it was the first time we wore orange shirts which then became the standard kit next season?

I was on that one great day out and brilliant win. John Aston getting both goals. Geordie Boys not too happy, left the ground with "you're going get your f..king heads kicked in!" ringing in my ears. They didn't get me luckily.
Don’t recall there being any segregation at Newcastle. At Bolton there was no segregation either, in fact most of the Luton supporters went in the Bolton End. For some reason a lot of supporters got on at Bedford and they were all dressed in Clockwork Orange gear (some said they were Arsenal supporters who had missed their train to Carlisle). Not surprisingly it meant that there was quite a lot of fighting, particularly after a lot of Man Utd supporters turned up, when their game was postponed. Luckily me and my mates stood at the front of the stand so avoided it all. Sunderland was segregated but that did not stop a load of their supporters come in to our section shortly after the gates were open. However, most of our “lads” left as soon as they had been, so when they arrived there was a big gap and no one for them to fight with. All the supporters that day had to go by coach as there was a rail strike at the time.
It's a long time ago but I remember just before the final whistle a large group of their fans stood at the back of our stand chanting what Ive referred to. At that time one of their stands was being redeveloped so the capacity was down. Sunderland was ok, but Bolton my carriage had bricks put through a couple of windows. Bloody cold journey back to Luton. I remember John Moore chatting to everyone in our carriage on the way home Legend!!
I hitch hiked up without a ticket, got there about 5 mins in, in my best why-eye I got a ticket off a drunk, problem being in were in their end. Long story short I managed to get escorted underneath the stand and into the Luton fans. I still say Keith Barber came back too early after his broken leg. Well that's what's left in the grey matter from that day. And the service station saga.
Remember it well. Very dodgy walking back to the station. Very relieved to get on the train safely. £2.50 return on the club special. Supermac never had a look in. John Aston’s goals almost identical if l remember correctly.
