    Window of reality

This transfer window really highlights our football clubs reality, as forest sign yet another group of players, chelski spunk hundreds of millions and multiple championship clubs (allegedly) offer stupid wages to secure players, we keep it steady and yet still manage to keep a decent looking squad. Our reality is we can’t/won’t/should t pay silly wages so players will leave tempted away by a pay day, equally maybe some players don’t want to be 4th or 5th in line for a starting place, keeping a squad happy must be a logistical nightmare for managers assuming you want all players to be hungry and not just happy to bank the cash and sit on the sidelines. IF we have even average luck with injuries we do have depth, 5 players who are comfortable at cb, various options at wing backs, more depth in midfield than we’ve had for a while and tho up top looks dangerously thin if you throw in a longer term injury to Woodrow Morris or adebayo how often have we had 3 inform strikers of their quality at the club? Forza 2020, we are stronger than this time last year with a more stable manager too!!!

The manager also mentioned the possibility of playing 343 when talking about Fred recently (i.e. just 1 out-and-out striker with 2 wider players supporting him). So if he wants to play that system occasionally then that reduces the number of strikers we need. Given that Muskwe can play wide, that may make more sense of his return as well.

I think the biggest problem we would have if we went up would not being able to complete with some PL wages. Our club is run the right way which is what id prefer but in many ways money governs football now.
