    Cornick ambitions

Says a lot that in his piece on the BC website, the first thing he says is “it’s a great training facility”. Not “it’s a great club with a good team/players”.

Harry always put in a shift and helped get us where we are, but I honestly think we as a club have out grown him, not the other way around. Sensible move for both parties.

RE defo sees Fred playing higher up and using him as our pace merchant. More likely to beat a player with skill as well.

As David Pleat said ,skill is letting a players legs go on some one else's pitch.

He’s gone for the money mate. End of.

He was always a winger but NJ tried to turn him into a wing back with limited success.

I agree that with the level we have been this season and last, Cornick was left behind a bit. We got a fee and he gets a payday, good all round and thanks and good luck to him.

Cornick's main attribute is his pace, with an apparent 3-year contract and probable doubling his salary at BC, it is a very good move for him as when the contract expires he will probably start to lose the extra pace he has, and will not be able to earn a half decent contract at another club. we got some money for him and we have Fred who also has pace and may well turn out to be a more complete player

Exactly. I suppose he could have stayed, moved in the summer and get a large signing on payment in lieu of the transfer fee paid

Thought Fred put in quite an impressive cameo when he came on last night

Fred 100% fit, is a far superior all round player than HC imho.

No coincidence that HC has been allowed to leave, as Fred approaches full fitness imho.

Let’s face it, before last week, our strikers in pecking order were
                  Morris
                  EA
                  Woodrow
                  Cornick
                  Jerome

Okay, Admiral hasn’t looked great so far, put him in Jerome’s place above, Fred for Cornick, remembering as well Fred can also cover midfield and wing back/full back position.

And again, the centre-half issue, I think we all accept now that Sonny is not first choice, but if he's approaching full fitness, we have more than enough central defenders barring an unforeseen injury crisis, which let’s face it, a club can never prepare for.

Every time Fred plus he impresses me. Still going to miss Cornick though. He was one of my favourites. Being injured at the start of the season and Morris being an instant success cost him his spot in the lineup. Hopefully he’ll do great at Bristol.
