Transfer window

Not for the first time, very underwhelmed by our transfer business. Shame to lose Harry Cornick and Jerome who were consummate professionals and could play at the level. However both were unlikely to improve and wish them both all the best for the future. Bree is a loss but the debut of Drameh last night did give me confidence we have found a really good replacement, shame he is just a loan. We do not seem stronger after the window though, Muskwe has not shown me enough to suggest he has what it takes and the Joe Taylor is one for the future so we seem light if we get injuries to Adebayo or Morris. Yet again Woodrow was anonymous last night. However I am a fan, the coaches and big Mick know much more than I, and in them I trust. Their record in making is stronger each transfer window does speak for itself. COYH

We've just signed a Prem player on loan, who Villa fans rate highly, that you've left out of your analysis
As others said, it's mixed. In midfield and out wide, we're stronger. Up front we're weaker. Goalie - slightly stronger
I wanted us to get a new centre half in. Shame we couldn't secure that but CDM was the key for me and we covered that
But some reactions on here last night were a bit embarrassing. Proper tantrums. Criticising is one thing but some went in to proper feet-stamp mode

This time last year, the club signed, E.A. and fans were under whelmed, have a little faith in the professionals

Apart from one wayward pass, I thought Woodrow had a good first half.

Thought he kept the ball well and played some good forward passes. I think the nature of the game made it difficult for many to shine. It was a hard watch to be fair for much of the 90 minutes.
A bit of Skill from Doughty and strength from EA won it at the death. It was only ever going to be 1 nil and thankfully it was in our favour.
