That would have been the case had we kept Jerome and Harry.
Do you not understand the concept of strength in depth? Look at most successful sides over the years; they’ve had strength in depth to cover for injuries/loss of form/ rotation; hence why managers always use sound bites of the importance of a ‘squad game’.
Do you not think our forward depth is now weaker?!

I actually agree about the need for another forward, but trust Mick and RE on the process followed. Personally I wouldn’t have re-signed Jerome for this season but Jones thought otherwise.
However my point was more that people were openly criticising a lad of 20 who has just got a ‘dream’ move to a team sitting 4th in The Championship.
He must be excited and up for the opportunity.
He scores goals for fun in the U23 leagues and I would trust Mick to get this call correct.
