Incredible.
We have gates of less than 10,000
We are well run.
We aren’t going to take chances and end up in a mess again.
We have an already fantastic team and have added two pieces of class to it this week.
But many are STILL not satisfied.

As if you, of all people, are trying to take the moral high ground. You’ve consistently posted shit for several months.
I think fans are allowed to express disappointment, when we are in a fabulous position in the table, and rather than the proclaimed ‘strengthening’, have had a very poor end to the window.
Dress it up how you like; we’ve lost Cornick and Jerome, and replaced them with Taylor and Muskwe, both of which are not championship ready strikers. Logic says that’s a step back.
It’s your sanctimonious tone about people daring to be unhappy with our dearth of forward options, which is really tickles me. This is very ironic, when you have been consistently criticising decisions made by the management team, including your insistence on playing young players like Perriera, who clearly aren’t up to our current level.
I’ve got no issue with people holding differing views, but it’s very ironic when you’re not exactly in the strongest of positions to be taking the moral high ground, when it comes to ‘backing the club’.
Tomato/ Tomatoe. You can spin it what ever way you like. How do you qualify people questioning our decisions to let Cornick and Jerome leave, with inadequate/inexperienced replacements, to be a ‘criticism of the club’, yet when you comment, it’s merely ‘questioning’?!
My point is, we all have a right to ask questions as supporters, without the retort of degrading comments or illiterate abuse from certain ‘average’ posters. He’s probably too dense to work that one out too!
It’s a game of opinions I guess. I thought we looked ok in patches, but very rarely tested their keeper, and looked rather lacklustre, until Fred came on, and added some dynamism.
To me, it just demonstrated further, the importance of having proven options to come off the bench, to add a different dimension to the attack, when plan A isn’t working. I’m not confident we have that now.

Would you have been happy starting Jerome and Cornick for the remainder of the season?
Seriously are you ok? Do you not understand the way football works?! You don’t just have a first 11 if you’re going to be successful. You need strength in depth.
In Cornick and Jerome, we had two players, with championship experience, who played important roles in certain moments of games; I.e qpr at home. Or alternatively, they would be adept replacements for Elijah/Morris, should injuries occur.
The replacements are now Muskwe ( not good enough) and Taylor, a 20 year old pup, with very limited first team experience, and whom most Peterborough fans are saying is poor.
RE and MH have explicitly said Taylor isn’t ready quite yet. Hardly the signings of a team strengthening for the play offs.

But Drameh, Walton and Marvellous all look like steps forward?
Exactly; that’s why I’m very disappointed with how the day has turned out. Feels like a real opportunity to strengthen missed. Firepower is vital for any side serious about promotion.
So how were we supposed to pay for this “firepower”?
I haven’t for one moment, suggested that we spend millions of pounds that we don’t have. Let me break it down, simplistically;
A) the timing is very poor, as it’s left us scrambling around for a late replacement B) I highly doubt Taylor was high on our list of replacements for Cornick. I suspect other deals fell through, judging by the sheer lateness of the deal. C) Muskwe recalled at the 11th hour, again suggesting he wasn’t in our plans, until Cornick and Jerome left. D) We shouldn’t have agreed to terminate Jeromes contract, or sold Cornick until our replacements were officially signed; henceforth Drameh signed at the same time Bree departed.
