Why the witch hunt against Horvath today?

Good save that led to the corner for first goal (defender should have stopped the shot really and closed down quicker)
Free header from the corner (should never happen) and he was probably wrong footed. Even then someone should have cleared it at the far post. Defending #### up. Don`t see why people are singling him out.
Second goal..2 defenders ball watching. Good finish having said that.
Just seems a few people (or a couple by many names) have it in for Horvath so have tried to blame him for everything yesterday, when there were more culpable candidates.
The irony is we have played a lot worse than yesterday against championship opponents and won. Didn`t think we were actually that bad yesterday, just give credit to grimbsy who played out of their skin. Which we have been there and done that
He's not awful but he doesn't do much more than you'd expect for a Championship level keeper. Even his "good" saves always look a bit awkward to me (e.g. the one against Grimsby before the first goal).
I think he doesn't help himself sometimes by literally not moving when some goals go in. He probably wouldn't save them anyway but it's a perception thing. Contrast him to Jordan "I'll dive at anything" Pickford!
As I said I don't understand why he couldn't get to the first goal, could be unsighted etc but he definitely got caught out somehow. But that was the one thing, I think he's doing well.
I feel confident about the replay because we got in so many good attacking positions and it was a mix of truly awful decision making, some very fine handling by their keeper and stout defending of their box that stopped us getting a hatful more chances.
Shea can't come back quickly enough... Would've saved at least one of them. Right behind the flight of that header Saturday, he just let it float across him, it was hardly a bullet header down into the corner !
trouble is we now have a large amount of fans who were not with us in the dark days of the coference years, they expect too much, whilst the loyal 5000 are just happy to be where we are. yes we should win against teams like Grimsley but hey, ho shit happens. look at it this way, we are punching above our weight in the league and still in the cup, could be a lot worse.
We regularly pulled 7 or 8 thousand in the conference (more than that in the first and last seasons down there) and they were never the SAME 7 or 8 thousand. The people I know who went in the conference days and who are still going today weren't very happy with losing to Wigan at home or throwing away a 2 goal lead against WBA. Yes we've picked up new fans in the last 5 years but that's a good thing especially as a lot of them seem at the younger end of the scale. We'll need a few more once PC is open
I don't think it's expecting too much to say we should have won more than 3 games at home this season, including 3 cup ties against struggling Wigan and two league 2 sides (conceding 5 fukking goals against those L2 sides)
Funnily enough i had a thought on the sky commentary if we won the play offs "Luton town, founder members of the premier league but never got to play in its inaugural season are in the premier league! 9 years after they won promotion from the conference!"
Our progress has been nothing short of incredible in that period
that day at notts county when we were wining at half time, alot of fans tripping on LSD, only needing a draw and we lost, fans crying, only time i have ever seen Luton fans crying at a match. by the way they were already down. a day that changed so much. i think Kohler thought we were safe when he voted for them premier league
He said he had asked the iTV executive "why are we never on the match" (the sunday top flight game before it became wall to wall coverage". He got the response "no one want to see you". After the tv rights vote he apparently went to him and said "remember what you said? thats why i voted for sky"
seems correct, we really have been up against over the years, just missed out on prem, got 30 points deduction which no other team has ever been given, still think we should claim compensation for. lost revenue due to unfair penalty..
