      Isn't it just!

And to think that, out of the billions of planets out there, we are the only form of life, as we know it, that we have discovered (although we are doing our best to destroy it all for ourselves).

We won`t be the only ones though. Ok there is a pretty specific set of circumstances that apparently are needed to support life (well as we know it). But some planets have been identified that do this.

Logically , the odds we are somehow the only planet that has lie on it are astronomical. There will be others. What form it takes, who knows? We have a variety of species here, evolved from fish and then chimps. We have also made huge technological progress over the last 100 years or so (maybe a bit more) - so nothing to say another similar planet has not done the same at some point. Progress can then be exponential.

So balance of probability there are going to be other planets with life. some more advanced. Some less. Now, and yes I`m no scientist, but I think there are some issues with travelling at light speed which basically cause most of your molecules to separate or have some other fate. Give the nearest star is 4 light years away (put that into perspective - the sun is 8 light minutes away, so the nearest other star could give you a sun tan 4 years after it vanished if the heat carried that far.

Whole think it mind boggling bonkers. Tell me alien life exists - yes 100% its likely. tell me you met a little green man and i will want some of what you are having.

Destroying it and the future of our race when it could have very reasonably have been avoided.

No matter how we bugger up our planet, there will still be life on earth...
