Goalkeepers

Walton, the goalkeeper from Barnsley we’ve been linked with, is a year younger than Isted and has more Championship experience. He is arguably more proven at this level as a number 2.
Isted might well prove to be the better keeper in the long run, but unless he can show his ability in actual games RE will never know.
Best scenario, with Shea and Isted’s contracts coming to an end this summer, is for Isted to go out on loan now, bring Walton in as a number two and hopefully Shea as 3rd.

As I said earlier, it's worrying that he is second choice to Brad Collins. I wouldn't want us to sign Collins.

Kevin Pilkington should know how good he is. I assume this will be part of the squad building for next season, Horvath is our best keeper but nothing definite that he’ll be here, Isted needs to be playing at his age and doesn’t look like he’ll get that here, who knows what JS wants after almost a year out, but he’s not getting any younger.

I agree. I don't really know anything about Walton - it's just that Collins always seems to be an accident waiting to happen yet he is preferred to Walton.
