    Jordan Clark

If this lad ends his career without playing in the premier league it would be criminal.

We need to talk about that piece of skill down by dugouts today. That was up there with his last man Cruyff turn last season, I’m putting it out there, he’s the best player I’ve seen in a Luton shirt since the 80s.

Agree, Clark is a wonderful player. The reason he goes below the radar though his goals and assists are not great.

Mainly down to him being played out of position.

He's not that good .... though I'm surprised just how far below the radar he seems to fly

Sorry, meant to say he's not that good, as in the best since the 80s, but he is bloody good

Amazing that he was playing on the wing for Accrington before we spotted his potential... well Nathan and the recruitment team

shame he is being wasted in the deeper midfield role.

            No! Massively suits him.

What you mean is he plays very well there. If we brought in a better holding midfield player it would release Clark to play very well further up the pitch.

Watch Edwards continue to play him there.

I suspect that will only be down to Lansbury continuing to struggle for fitness and Watson not quite yet being ready to start every game.

We'll have to disagree on that. Was best I've seen him play today.

Me too - but that’s because it was against Grimsby and he wasn’t being asked to play the holding role in front of the back four that he was often asked to do by Jones. Today he had much more licence to roam. When Woodrow came on that was curtailed somewhat but he still scored a lovely goal. I’m a massive fan of Clark but think we often utilise him poorly and his natural game is sacrificed to try and fit in others. I think that’s why, as the poster above has indicated, his ability sometimes goes under the radar.

I don't remember Jones asking that of him very often.

Maybe Jones didn’t ask him - but he certainly found himself playing there, particularly in the first ten or so games of the season when the combo was Clark, Campbell and Freeman which aside from one game against Sheff Utd looked unbalanced.

Our results certainly improved once Lansbury was back in that position and Watson looks a good bet there too.

For me, right now, I’d have Watson, Clark and either Pelly or Campbell.

He was sheer class today and that juggling act as he broke forward was sheer brilliance. I hope there is footage of it somewhere.

Wasn’t just the juggling, the flick over the players head then to finish the move with a perfectly weight ball down the wing. Just pure class with end product.

Proves the point that great players exist in the lower leagues and that some do mature later than others.

                      One the clubs’ best signings.
