I thought Campbell had a poor game and deserved to be substituted - but by bringing on Woodrow it meant Clark, who up to that point was having a great game, had to play further back.
Woodrow is not an attacking midfielder and Clark is not a box to box, ball winning midfielder and definitely not one that should play in front of the back four. I’m a bit unsure why both Jones and Edwards keep persisting with this.

Perhaps because they see them on a daily basis on the training pitch and know what they're capable of rather than just a brief substitute appearance. I'm sure Woodrow played the #10 role when he came on and scored against Norwich.

I actually agree with you on this one. The Barnsley fans were all saying the same thing when he left them.
Good in a front two but wasted playing in midfield.

near the end, he was at the far post and instead of shooting he lobbed it back to the other post and an easy catch for the keeper. it seemed to me, we tried to walk the ball into the net instead of shooting.

Your last sentence is spot on. We need to learn to shoot from a bit further out. When we do it often produces results.
