        Marston's pedigree.

It's what all the 6th formers drank. At the time I hated it but didn't want to be the odd one out not drinking so just followed the crowd. It put me off pedigree for many years until in my late 20s I thought I'd try it again only to discover that it's truly one of the finest ales available.

Admittedly not my first drink, Godders, but I have fond (if slightly vague) memories of an early experience with Marston's Pedigree.
When I was at uni (Keele), my tutorial group organised a day trip to Burton, with a guided tour and sampling session (including food) at
          the Marston's brewery.
We had a whole barrel of Pedigree between us, and as the group included several young ladies ("Mmm ... it's quite nice, but can I please have
a cola?"), there was a plentiful supply for us blokes.
We had to stop the coach at least once on the way back, to "empty out" at the side of the road. I slept rather well that night.
