Would much prefer to lose him on a free and have him for the remainder of the season than for him to go for peanuts now. Bristol City and Swansea also signing out of desperation after losing strikers in this window - doubt they’ll be too interested in the summer. He is a great option off the bench and clearly a big part of the squad - would be a big loss if he went now.

While you can never question HCs effort, I’d not be too upset if he left for a fee, wouldn’t see him sticking around in the summer anyway.
Allows RE to get someone else who fits his longer term plan.

Most seem to have accepted/be resigned to the fact that Cornick will leave us either during this transfer window or in the summer. Unless I've missed something, there's nothing to suggest either scenario will definitely happen, other than some media gossip.
IF Cornick leaves, 2020 have a pretty decent record of getting in suitable replacements for 1st team players.

True, if we can get a good price (>£1m) and have a good replacement lined up, then no harm done. Would just worry for our lack of options if we lose him and don’t replace him.

I wouldn't accept anything under £1m... If he helps us into playoffs he's already paid that off in terms of being in with a chance of the jackpot
