If they don’t NJ will be back for bigger assets than Bree and with parachute money!!

NJ won't be at Southampton if they don't stay up

Strange one for me. Southampton already have a very good RB in Walker Peters. Bree’s main quality is from dead ball situations and they already have arguably the best in Ward Prowse…

Reckon they'll switch Walker Peters to LWB. He's played there on numerous occasions.

Or, as has been widely reported, there is interest in Walker-Peters from a number of clubs.

            Cheers, Jim

Some of us backed them preseason at 3/1 to go down. I'd like them to go down so the kids can get some new shoes.

Unless we replace them in the premiership

There will be mutiny in Hampshire if they go down and Jones doesn’t get sacked.

Trust me he is already on very thin ice.

I agree. If they go down I don't think they will keep him on.

As much as I rate Bree I don't think the optics are overly great for Jones if he just continually goes back to his old club for new players.

Hes signed one of our players where does continually come into it

Fair point. I wrote that after reading a post from someone speculating if NJ would also come in for Morris

Plus I don’t see how he replaces what they have unless he is going to play as part of a back three?

Walker Peters is a better player.

They have the England U-21 right-back Livramento returning from injury at some point as well. He'll be the starter, when fit.

Presumably they'd cash in on Livramento though when/if they go down. He'll be a very saleable asset for them.

                        Walker-Peters a better wing back/full-back than Bree.
Bree not a Prem standard central defender.

                        IMHO of course.

Maybe NJ is buying Bree to take all their corners and free-kicks…..
