Yeah I’ve seen these 2 figures , I’d take 6m for someone with a few months left on their contract. Somehow can’t see that being anywhere near the mark.

I know an earfull is heading my way but if this is all about money I’m disappointed we don’t have the financial security to hang on to Bree until the end of the season. Probably over simplifying matters but we’re having such a nice little run at the moment.

                      Seriously?
Pretty much the bottom salary in the PL is £30k pw and our top earner is about a quarter of that. Are got saying we should be able to compete with that? Also, he's only got 4 months left with us so any free would be a bonus.

I'm sure 2020 would be grateful for any donations.

Ok, I’ll bite. We’re competing for promotion from the championship on 10k gates, broke our transfer record in the summer, haven’t sold a player for big money since Justin/Stacey and are trying to finance a new ground. It’s a miracle we are even vaguely financially stable (and a credit to those who run the club)

                              Odd transfer all around.

Bree is not quick enough to be a top quality Premier League player.

He is very good at our level but isn’t as good as Aarons, as an example. He has a poor tackle in him per game too and it’s something that will even more exploited in the Premier League.

At Southampton he won’t take corners or free kicks either.

As a replacement we look like getting the type of player that Southampton actually need.

This strikes me as Jones trying to take advantage of the Bree situation rather than actually thinking through what it will take to keep his team up.

Bree has played well and good luck to him, it reflects well on the club.

Just wish it has been to another club and manager.

                                Also,

Unless NJ is planning on playing Bree on the right of a back three, I would argue that Kyle Walker-Peters is a better player than JB.

Bree is an analysts dream as he contributes to so many goals and chances. Yes, guy feel he'll be suspect defensively but stats say he'll make up for that offensively. That said he won't be a saints fans favourite and could be a scapegoat to direct more hate at Jones. Still wish Bree well as he has done a lot for the team's success in past two seasons.

None of that will apply in the PL. He’ll be back minus the ego in four months time.
6 million ? Never ever unless totally desperate - oh hang on ….
I’ve brought in another player to take the set pieces JWP, he occasionally beats the first man but thought you needed a rest.

Any excuse too get a dig in against Jones.

Bree is a very good player who has worked hard to get this opportunity. Give him some credit.

By the way, Aaron's has been very mediocre for a long time now. Ask any Norwich fan.

I think I have given Bree credit, he has done fantastically well for us.

I just don’t think he is quite up to Premier League standards and as stated above I think Jones is panic buying now.

We seem to have a potential upgrade incoming and we will receive a fee that we can bank and use in the summer.

                                      So no complaints.

Its hardly panic buying tbf. Bree is a quality championship player. And liklihood is he still will be next season. We got him. We improved him. If we sell him for 750k we make a profit on him. If we sign a decent replacement (and we are an attractive proposition) no real harm done

He won't sign again so let him go.

He is never a premier player for sure.

                                        Yes but they are desperate.

That means them paying over the odds to try and stay up.

                                        However I'm just guessing.
