I'm actually feeling sorry for him.
It lasted 2 seconds.
Like a lion chasing a rabbit.

I actually get the impression that Rishi Sunak actually does want to try and help and improve the country. The trouble is that the country is already in such a mess thanks to his party's former prime ministers over the last 13 years. He also is so far out of touch with what it's like living in these times - as are so many other MPs.

Most politicians at least start being involved in public life because they want to make the country a better place. We can dispute what their vision for a successful nation might look like, their methods for delivering that vision and basic competence in many cases.

Still find it hard to believe that more people voted for Matt Hancock to eat a crocodile vagina than were allowed to vote for our PM.
He lost an election against Liz Truss for gods sake.....anyone hoping for brilliance from him to work in all our interests are either of their tits generally or taking LSD

The only thing I'd say contrary to all that is that losing an election when the Tory membership is the electorate does not make you a bad politician.
He still is of course .

You may be right, he may well want that but his party is ungovernable, so many factions. He must spend half his decision-making on working out how to navigate anything through them all.
The Tories have been completely out of touch / uncaring for so long now they are lost. The "Get Brexit Done" factor helped them destroy the "red wall" but they have simply demonstrated they have zero empathy for or affinity with most of those people.
And now Sunak's lack of authority has been so badly exposed yet again by his inability to deal with Zahawi appropriately is just another nail in the coffin. Change can't come quickly enough.

I’d have thought that with you being a ‘Green’ the last thing you’d want to do is ‘cut him some slack’ Frothy
