Look good until the final pass. |
If they play like they have been recently and can find a way to improve the final ball then they stay up

First thing at a club that in 2022 was 92nd out of 93rd in the football league for results is fix the defence. |
After you turn losses into draws then you can start turning them into wins.
After you stop losses, you need 100% effort from players that have bought into the style.
Once you have 100% effort you can refine the effort into specific attacking patterns of play that executed enough will lead to goals.
The development is clear to see in Southampton - similarly the development from Rob Edward fine tuning what NJ left is evident. Football is cyclical in the sense of wingers then no 10 playmakers, as teams counteract wide forwards they create space in the middle.
Rob Edwards has brought fresh ideas and arguably brought us to a new level.
We have enough variety in the forward department and enough solidity and experience tactically.
There’s probably 8+teams in a similar position but we probably have enough depth to consider promotion a possibility.
At the end of the day we are as competitive as we can be and the margins are so fine that it will depend on who gets the rub of the green.

Good post. |
My only issue with what you say is that RE has done his work with charisma and charm.
Jones appears to be hell bent on alienating everyone in his attempt to make good his move. Including having a sly did at us whenever he can.
Southampton have become a niggly and aggressive team which may help at times but tries to cover up various shortcomings.
Quite how Ward-Prowse can tolerate this and why he hasn’t been signed by other clubs is a mystery.
He would walk into all Premier League teams and is a far better player than players like Grealish who went for £100millon!

I am picking up vibes you are not a fan of him. Am I correct?|

I didn't want him back first time when he left us for stoke. But his football this season was like watching Wimbledon of old in the Early 90s hoof it to a target man and hope for the rest of team to get up the field quicker |

And quite rightly. |
Jones is an egotistical cretin.
That comment about us pre-match says it all.
Unnecessary and all about “me”

Indeed and some of us took significant abuse for calling this out months ago. |
And he has started colouring his hair.
