    Luton - FA CUP

    Posted by GTFC2023 on 24/1/2023, 7:19:12

    Hi Luton Town.

I come in peace. Looking forward to visiting Kenilworth Road For The First Time. The team is definitely up for this game after beating 3 league one teams In the previous rounds, one being Plymouth, who at the time where top of L1. We have been allocated 1500 and from what I know, sales are going well. Will be a great atmosphere.

May the best team win on the day!

TBH, think your lot will probably make more noise than us, only 5600 at the last game at Wigan, and to be fair not much of a draw playing Grimsby.
Canít think much more than 6500.

And now we have a leave game on the Tuesday , which will probably mean a changed team.

Went to Cleethorpes for a FA Cup match mid 90ís and you beat us 7-1.

Have a good one but we owe you a long drive home 😉

            Played for both

The sadly late Marc North, died aged 35 - started at Luton as a keeper and ended up playing alongside Harford!

Scored in the FA Cup 4th around in 1986 v Bristol Rovers.

Plenty of others have played for both clubs but Marcís story was quite interesting having played all his Youth football as a keeper.

Went onto play for Grimsby and had a decent goal return in I think the equivalent to the Championship.

What about Rodney Green and Matt Tees. They played together at Grimsby and then Charlton.

Green joined Luton but left for Watford before Tees arrived.

At least it will be a bit warmer. Plus your crowd will awaken the home crowd hopefully. A good atmosphere. No replay and a good draw for the next round for the winner.🤞
                  Enjoy yourselves regardless.

There's no real pubs close to the ground, so get yourselves a plan, if your wanting a few beers..
