It’s written in the stars, we will get Twatford in the P/Os

It been noticeable that we are less ‘direct. We have ball playing forwards who are benefiting from playing to feet. Gabes ball to Elijah for the second goal on Saturday would have been probably been a long diagonal under Jones and then hope for the second ball. Also clean sheets are starting to return. We have a half decent chance of nicking 6th again.

The 538 model (yeah obvioulsy not 100% by any means) has us finishing 8th on 70 points, 3rd goes to Millwall with 72 points. It could actually end up being that tight for the play offs

As much as I want to hate the 538 model it has proved remarkably accurate in recent years.

However I still fancy us to reach the play offs, at least.

Serious question. Has anybody actually got rich by going with this 538 bollox?

In other news, looks like 'I've ' been busy on here this evening..... ffs.

And it may well be that with a change of manager and players like Cornick, Doughty and Woodrow coming back into the team as well as the change of style that the 538 model won't be so accurate for us.

There is always margin for error in it, and given how close they have 3rd-8th that is definitely an error margin!

Striker combination is interesting. On paper our best 2 are the 2 that have started regularly. And its not a case of they cant play together - having 2 battering rams is a nightmare for any defender. But HArry and Woodrow create different issues. One draws players wide, the other has that long range shooting ability. NJ said we had one of the best forward units in the league. He may have had a point.

Something that struck me from watching Harry’s goal was the intensity of our pressing game. We were putting their defence under a ton of pressure and it looked like it was causing them all sorts of problems. Being a pain in the arse - it works.
