The luxury of in house handbags

Probably shows how far weve come over the last couple of seasons that contributors on here can spend their time bickering like school girls about team selection as the team cruises to a comfortable away win with not even a hissy fit about pelly Potts or osho thrown in!!! Regarding team selection surely no matter what the opposition is the literal view should be if we win the team selection was right if we lose it was wrong if we draw then and only then is it debatable! Results determine whether it was right and to say it was wrong even after we have won is a tad silly even for some on here!!!

I don't think it's necessarily quite so simple as that, there are other factors as well as the team selection. So it's possible to select the right team, but for the ref to incorrectly give a penalty against us and then compound that error by sending our player off, in which case we could lose that game but the team selection was not at fault. (Just one example, there are others - an unfortunate/unforeseeable injury, a bad offside decision against us, the opposition simply being better than us if it was a cup game against a top Premier League side, etc...)

Point(s) taken and dont totally disagree with you, however.. those still saying it was a bad / wrong team selection when you have won a game (and comfortably won it) either have an agenda to undermine the club and/ or individuals or need to grow up, I suspect its the latter

Yes, I agree that criticising the team selection even after we had won is fairly daft! Besides, the manager is best-placed to decide what the right lineup is. He sees them in training in-between matches, after all. If someone played brilliantly in the last match but then got cocky and put in no effort in training, maybe he should be dropped but we wouldn't understand why. Equally, someone who had a total disaster last time out might have responded in the right way and been absolutely brilliant in training so deserves to play. Or someone might simply not be fit enough to last more than 30 minutes, but is considered worth having on the bench in case we need someone to come on and change the game after an hour. So many things which we simply can't know, but the manager can. It doesn't mean he will always get it right, but he has more chance of being right than we do!

And considering he is getting it right more than wrong (evidenced purely by results) then its bonkers not to get behind him and his team. I admit I was worried when Jones walked away, would the club be able to maintain the intensity and momentum after such a huge piece of the puzzle had gone, answer is yes proving beyond doubt that this is a Luton team rather than a Nathan Jones team !!

Far to sensible a conclusion and reasoned view. Agreed. Good win, job done.

            Agree 100%
If we win game in hand we would be third!

Just stop and think how far this club has come.

In 2 seasons we have become a solid and competitive side.

We will lose some more this season, but whatever, anyone can see the overall trend is up.
