      I don't have nor want a Paypal account. Are there any ways of directly paying by card?

        On PayPal there was an option to pay with debit card without PayPal account.

          Not sure, to be honest, but the deadline for entries has now passed.

          I can understand your reluctance to have a PayPal account. I only opened one when I won some money and the only way to collect it was via PayPal. I never leave a balance in my account and only use it when I have to.

            I think the issue was that I had a Paypal account linked to my email address and when the registered credit card date-lapsed over a decade ago, I didn't bother to register a new one.

            When I tried to pay this entry fee via my credit card, it wouldn't let me move forward as my email address was still registered so I gave up after going round in circles!
