If it dosen't work out for Nathan Jones at Southampton in eighteen months and we're rudderless at the time, we may be in line for act three: A thrilling installment of rip-roaring tactics, sincere prayers to the Good Lord, game-changers, chest-beating and badge-kissing. You read it here first.
This should never happen again, it’s time to find another good manager, someone who is more loyal. After this desertion, Nathan will find it hard to get a high profile job, mark my words he will flop at the saints, he is not tactically aware enough, remember when he got all that money to spend at Stoke he spent 9 million on Vokes. The Saints fans don’t want him and unless he starts exceptionally well they will be baying for his blood in no time at all.
That's no accurate. He was already an enormous pisshead before he came to us.
I bumped into a pools fan in a hotel bar in Cwmbran shortly after he joined and he told me that there were untold stories of him being completely shedded more or less all the time.
Yep, the divs remember the Amy Rayner stuff but he said that to make sure people paid attention to what he said next. Which the divs didn't but all the football family did and he'll never get another proper job again.
And with that in mind I really can't blame any manager for taking opportunities and bumper payrises as and when they come along. Anyone who believes in the badge kissing loyalty of players or managers is an idiot. The only people loyal to a football club are its supporters.
2020 have built this club on attracting young, hungry talent and then not standing in their way when it is time to go. Provided of course that the next club taking them can afford them.
We accept that for players so why not managers or coaches?
Here's a spoiler for you. Our next manager will leave. Either we'll fire him because he isn't good enough or he'll be offered a better paying more prestigious job if he is successful.
I'd rather the latter. Feeling a bit peeved because someone has got a better paying job is a lot less painful than being relegated by an incompetent manager.
