      Jones is now the 3rd longest serving manager in the Championship and the 10th longest in the EFL - two of those above him are the managers of Harrogate and Sutton who did most of their time outside the league.

                    And how do you measure fan base?

                    Number of replica shirts sold? Average attendance? Season ticket holders? Average away support? Likelihood of selling 40k at Wembley? Population within an hours drive of the stadium? Competition from other clubs within short distance?

                    And do past silverware achievements really count for nothing?

                    And isn't it all relative anyway?
