It's good the programme notes are online but a few questions still remain. They said they were putting an full detailed planning application in last year. Now, 18 months on they've told us they've attending a summit to find out what is required? What's been going on when they originally promised an application 12 months ago? Surely the architects involved would be well aware of what a detailed planning application requires?

I'll email the club and wait for the next fortnightly programme update.

you've been told for the umpteent time that in GS's last noted at the end of last season he hoped detailed planning to be submitted this summer and he usually never promises, because with people like you around, you just can't! In fact I'm pretty sure he's never actually said last year at all especially after two sh!t years of covid.

Anyway, what's your usual posting name?

I posted a link the other day with the a quote from March 2021 saying they expected a full planning decision in within 6 months.

I don't think I've done anything said anything controversial here. Ultimately I think the club could have managed the PR a bit better regarding it missing their own deadline. That's it.

I have every faith in the club and 2020 to deliver.

                    What the article actually says:

As you're so demanding of others could you at least try and get one thing right first time? I'd hate to think that you are constantly moving the goalposts when challenged or caught out.

Teams seems to make people think they can ramble on themselves but not listen to others. (Hold on, that's Outlaws isn't it! 🤣 )

I was just talking to someone about how it takes away the power of face to face, reading body language, having to respect their input etc. I've read some fantastic research about that prepared for the events/exhibitions/conferences sector. Distance empowers rudeness and confrontation so often (guilty as charged).

You can tell I'm bored can't you! 🤣🤣🤣

If I remember correctly they said detailed planning for Power Court in by June this year. Now given the obvious obstacles that have been put in the way in regard to the economy and the changes required due to changes in retail requirements it is not surprising that there have been further delays.

There are still some people that are dead set against the stadium so if it takes a bit more time to get everything right then so be it. If you know the people running the club like I know them then you know they are doing there absolute best to ensure they can deliver a stadium to be proud of as soon as realistically viable.

I've re read the boardroom notes now and withdraw my initial statement as I quite clearly hadn't read it properly. I still think progress has been slower than it could have been but I completely trust 2020 to deliver.

Nowhere does it say that the architects or the stadium team don't know the requirements. It just says that they gave an update to the board members who are not directly involved, and seeing as they are probably not involved because they don't necessarily have experience or knowledge of this area I don't think it is all that surprising that it was an eye-opener for them. Why are you trying to twist this?

The board members who aren't involved in the day-to-day of the project have just been updated by the team who are actually working on it and have known what it involves all along, you mean. Why do the rest of the board members need to have known all of the small details if they aren't involved?

We say goodbye to Kal Naismith, Danny Hylton, Peter Kioso and Robert Snodgrass from last year’s frontline squad along with emergency loanee Matt Ingram and Elliott Lee, who had been out on loan last season."
