I read somewhere a while back that away fans are allocated the cricket club for beers before the game.
Anyone know if that's still the case?
    Cheers.

Cricket club welcomes home and away fans. Chatted to some Burnley chaps in a Manchester pub during the 4 hour rain delay before the one day test match the other week and they said that's the only place around the ground for a drink but that the town centre had plenty. Including one we're going to but I'm not naming it on here!

The Mango Cider crew will be out in good numbers Saturday. Given the lads don't have a single leather elbow patch between then I suspect you won't bump into any of them before 3 o'clock

A far cry from the days when Burnley was a bit of a no-go zone. Had some hairy experiences in the past!

It's my first visit to be honest. I'm quite looking forward to it but I always find that area of the country(Accrington, Blackburn etc).very bleak, you know you're nearly there when you look out of the train window and start seeing old derelict buildings and people walking the streets looking depressed as fukk! I'd hate to live up that way.

Not many of us there that night, horrendous racist shit from them so double delight when Ricky shinned it in!

I went with two blokes from the Glossop area to that bar near the away entrances. When it was my round I did the old pointing at the pump and not speaking routine, it wasn't exactly friendly....

Leeds away in the next round was 'memorable' too! (and not just for Julian James being sent off on his debut)

Beat them 2.0. I remember some of them on our right crowd surfing, someone we know was at the other end!!!

I went to 4.1 league cup defeat up there, That was really dodgy!!

Bloody hell yes, that was dodgy.

Leeds fans turning up in numbers for the miserable cup defeat in the snow at York about 3 weeks later wasn't much fun I can tell you! I don't think they were very happy about 'little Luton' taking liberties at their place.
