My website is being revamped at the moment. I have added a new button - Strawopolis - which will contain general Luton Victorian history, photos, stories etc. I don't want this to distract me from the football so I'm I am using lots of articles by one of the local historians who posts on TLIR FB page - I have his permission already.

So anyone will be able to write an article or point me towards stuff and I'll post it with full credit.

        That's good.
Have you seen the posts on Old photos of Luton?

I have, Mushtaq whatshisname, posts great articles. I'll contact him but I think some might come from books so that might be a problem.

He just copies and pastes what he finds online.

Sometimes he doesnt even reference where he takes it from which really boils my piss!

I'm not on TLIR anymore but follow the Old Photos of Luton page. Greg Harrison by any chance? He's posted some superb articles on there.

David Ainsbury - Volunteer of the Year a couple of years ago. He is always 100% right. I'll look out for Greg Harrison, thanks.

I'll have to rejoin TLIR and will have a look for his stuff.

Greg Harrison posted some interesting stuff about the old Luton Villas along Old Bedford Road, Leaside Hotel, Landsdown Club etc.

Also posted some interesting stuff about Market Hill's history.

My walking tour stops off in Villa Road - we were there on Sunday. Amazing place when you think who lived along there - Asher Hucklesby lived in the Leaside and J.W. Green further up and of course St. John's College was there (now flats). Murry Barford lived along there as a child. Old Luton families - the Tomson's and Smart's also lived there.

and all the time, in my mind I'm worrying about two of our new signings being out with serious injury, but hey, who needs football posts

              It is a worry.
Campbell has apparently got ligament damage according to today's press conference.
