    Mick Harford

I know there have been a few threads discussing Mick Harford,s battle with Prostate Cancer. I lost a very close relative to it this year and he lasted 6 more years than the doctors said he would. I looked up to him so much and miss him. He was such a trooper and the doctors said he was defying medical science and that it amazed them how long he lived on. People can survive this, but my relative had a few other issues, one being that the cancer went to his bones.

If anyone can beat this, it's Mick Harford. I remember going with my dad to a game in the 80s and he used to drink in the crest hotel by junction 11 before the games This was also where the players used to meet before and after game sometimes. I remember sitting there in amazement when the players walked in and my dad knew them quite well. Dad called Mick and asked him if he would play me at pool, which he duly did. I was so shocked, but Mick is such a nice guy and told me that he is just the same as any other person so not to be nervous. He then told me the next time he saw my dad he would have something for him to give me. That evening Dad walked in with a signed and dedicated programme which I have stored somewhere. This memory will always stick with me. Such a nice guy with a great personality aswell

So big Mick, you can beat this - you ARE LTFC!!

Like Mick, my dad was 62 when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

      Now he's 84.

And I've never met Mick Harford, but I have been sick on Jimmy Tarbuck's cae.

I used to work for a builder in mk
We did work in a good few players and ex players houses...
I had the good fortune of working in Big Micks house, when he had some alterations done.
He had ridden back from Wimbledon on his Bike, and came in, from work.

I had one of the highlights of my life chatting all things Luton

        Top top man...
