I get what you are saying but the last 19 months have been unprecedented outside of war.
Keeping the club afloat was obviously the number one priority. Of course, our supporters played their part in helping the club stay afloat.
Reevaluating what was needed rather than what was nice to have, probably put the club in a far better and stronger position.
Moving the ground around was genius in my view the flow of the whole development looks so much better.
Hopefully going into August we will start to see things moving. I have seen the club is putting office space up on the market so we can't be that far off from seeing more activity on the site.
      Cant bloody wait.

Yep. The office space available on rightmove says work commences 2021 and will be ready 2022.

Not sure if that is just estate agent talk or not!

I have a feeling GS mentioned late 2021 as a starting date for the work, around the same time the revised plans were revealed.

I'm a bit out of the loop in terms of next steps - we've had outline planning so doesn't a new planning app for reserved matters have to go in or has that been submitted already?

Submitted a few months ago, and I think passed.

Application for part of the site (not including the stadium) submitted in March, but still to be determined. NP application submitted in April. Once PC application decided then it was intended to submit the stadium details, so later this year.

Weirdly, Did C&Rs stalling tactics inadvertently help 20/20 re-evaluate what’s going in at PC and more so Newlands when the Pandemic hit?

              Interesting, isn't it.

Those delays might mean that we have the country's first new stadium which accommodates any 'new realities' for crowds - and that there are no outdated development concepts at Newlands Park.

Don't think we'll be thanking Skippy, Keeble, Ford and co any time soon though!

C&R's hand may be further forced in terms of co-operation as well, given the state and nature of the Mall (Arndale!)
