"The stadium company was set up in 2019 to buy St Andrews from Blues in order to help the club improve their accounts and avoid sanction due to the financial fair play rules."

How utterly desperate this has all become.

They already sold it to themselves in 2019 for 23m!

It's a complete fukking piss take

I wanted them to get relegated this season but rat-face Bowyer rescued them. Bowyer and B'ham deserve each other

Yes, if there was anything disappointing to me in the Championship this season just gone, it was that Derby and Birmingham survived, though to be fair to Birmingham they did survive by some distance.

Them and Derby. Hopefully points deduction on the way for next season 🤞

              Yep

Reading and Stoke have lost shit loads in the last year too. Why aren't they already facing points deductions? Are the League going to chicken out of punishing clubs cos of Covid? If so that's a cop out because there are plenty of clubs (inc LTFC) that have kept control of losses during the pandemic and even made a profit

Either do away with FFP or implement it properly. It's not doing one thing or the other the way it's currently regulated

Covid is a pathetic excuse in my opinion.

As if fans buying hotdogs and replica shirts would cover the losses made at some of those clubs!

                  Exactly

Clubs, especially in the basket case that is the C'ship, are just breaking the rules and next to nothing is being done about it - and now Covid, I fear, will give clubs/EFL/whoever else an excuse to justify massive losses and let that rule-breaking go unpunished. Even Sheff Wed's punishment last season ended up getting halved. Even though they were so shit they still couldn't avoid the drop

            Yes! Had forgotten that.

Hope they really struggle again this season.

              Ditto.

They're a complete basket case of a club.
