    Spurs match

The empty stands got me thinking about watfraud. Has any other club had to subsidise tickets, food, drinks and travel to get their fans to go to matches?

I can only recount the chocolates at KR & a free hot drink at Gateshead, neither of which the club paid for.

I think that you will find that the free hot drink at Gateshead was paid for by Luton.

I thought it was the local council but happy to be corrected.

That said it has to be one of the worst non league grounds I went to.

        What’s yours L?

          That's very generous of you

Ebbsfleet and Braintree have to come into the reckoning.

The club also provided a pie or hot dog (and a hot drink?) at a night match at Carlisle. Also, when the coaches were held up in traffic on the way to Morecambe, our board arranged for vouchers to be handed to all of the passengers for a hot drink at half time.

I was in the same “stand” as you at Ebbsfleet. It was so cramped I moved on to the terrace despite the rain! Only done a midweek to Carlisle once but must have been another time.

I went and stood at Aldershot because of the lack of leg room - Mrs Outsider and her friend gave up and moved at half time as well.

I have seen us at Carlisle four times on Tuesday nights!

                  Reasonable attendance record I suppose.

                  😉

Braintree was great...if I remember correctly it had a 'refreshment' van that was powered by a generator that kept conking out...the queue was about 40 mins, obviously we had surpassed their usual crowd levels...you couldnt see the pitch for the last ten yards of the queue to the counter obviously we reached this point just as we scored fcuking brilliant!...
