        only recently read that he hated Lets Dance despite it being his bigger money earner album wise because he thuoght he,d sold out by doing it ,an absolute icon for me personally

        Fascinating programme and person, truly a one off. Interesting to hear how driven he was and in many ways, his background was about as unlikely as possible for such a person, not an intellectual musically arty family at all.

              I saw him live at Earls Court around 1979. He is only eight inches tall.

                I saw him there in 1973, they were all about that height, if it hadn't been for his orange hair, would have had no idea which one was him!!!!!
