Coldest weather at a fotball game you have attended

I can remember when the weather got very cold at certain home games Luton v Southampton when we beat them 7-0 the game was played in freezing fog and it the weather was bitter. Also Luton v Chelsea back in i think in 1980 when we beat them 4-0 the pitch was covered in snow also walking to the game was dangerous if this happened now the game would be called off.

Grimsby away when we won the Division 2 title, 0-0 ice cold wind whipping in off the North Sea,was still trying to thaw out as we passed W*****d Gap on the way back, old skool football at its finest.

I went to WBA v Luton close to Christmas one year and it felt so so cold.

I think we lost 1-0, might have been 2...

Any game at Boundary Park but the coldest I've been was at Saltergate on New Years Day I think it was in 2005 (could have been boxing Day 2004) when Enoch got the only goal of the game in stoppage time. It was certainly around Christmas as I remember wearing loads of layers but forgetting to bring a coat with me!!!!

I think that was the New Years day game at 12 o'clock against Chelsea in 1980. The pitch was like an ice rink but it was a brilliant game and ended 3-3.

Mansfield away - November 1977 - a lot of fans spent the whole game in the toilets under the away end trying to keep warm.

I still remember a copper, at that game, saying to a Luton fan who was wearing absolutely massive boots "Do your feet go all the way to the end of those shoes?" to which he replied "Does your head go all the way to the top of that helmet?".

Away Wrexham , awarded pen early on could see on pitch where foul took place, linesman made big issue convincing ref outside the box, cheat.
Finished up losing 3-1 , perishing cold never forgot that.

Middlesborough away, Dec.1972. Won 1-0 , a goal by Barry Butlin. Bitterly cold ,couldn't feel my feet until we were half-way back home on the Special Train. So cold that I recall an elderly Boro fan collapsing near where I was standing. Some say he was dead but can't vouch for that. Liverpool away, March 1987 was pretty cold too. However, I cannot remember our 7-0 victory over Saints being played in the fog. I kind of recall it was a bit foggy when we played them at home in Nov 1982 , 3-3 I think.
