Having read through that letter I can only surmise, as most posters agree, there is more to this than meets the eye. What though can be done going forward to get this decision changed?

Not an iceberg at all as far I am concerned. Thanks for sharing. There is something seriously amiss at LBC in my view. The way that the Labour Executive Group have behaved leads me to think that they are hiding something from the electorate. I am encouraging everyone I know, that has a local vote in Luton, to vote any way but Labour in the next local elections. Vote Lib Dem or any party that openly supports the LTFC Dome project.

It's a shame that the next local elections in Luton aren't for a couple of years. An election this year might have made them think a bit more. There is definitely something going on behind the scenes. I suspect that Sian Timoney standing down as deputy leader isn't totally unrelated to this.

I think that he is suggesting that "they" are running the council.

            Maybe.

But why won't she say something publicly? Will the party deselect her if she does?

No idea - presumably down to "collective responsibility" and the whole Labour group votes with the majority within the group.

If they've not followed their own policy they need to explain why and not hide behind secret meeting.

There's a good case for the local council ombudsman IMO

It would be interesting to know if they'd be behaving like this if the next local elections were in May 2021, not 2 years down the line when they'll bank on most people doing what they normally do at local election time
