Stay at home rule removed on March 29th.

So we can all pile on to the tube weeks before we can stand in a quiet corner of a pub.

Stay at home order is the lockdown. Only lifted for schools before 29th March. Work from home is complelty different. That's unlikely to be lifted till May/June.

Naughty...naughty....you know that both situations are different...

            1) You can't drink with a face covering, but you travel on the tube wearing one.

            2) You much more likely to get close to someone and CONVERSE directly with them in the pub than on the tube.

            3) If all the pubs were quiet, had good ventilation and everybody behaved themselves then it probably wouldn't be so much of a problem, but many pubs aren't quiet and peoplr don't always behave themselves aftet a few drinks.

Don't get me wrong...I think it is bloody risky riding the tube and I feel for those that have to do it to get to work, it would certainly frightened me at the moment.

You can't socially distance on the tube in rush hour though. Although I guess lots of employers will still allow people to work from home.

Plus they will not be able to enforce mask-wearing at busy times.

Never said you could socially distance, hence why I said I think it is risky and I feel for people having to travel on the tube.

Nonetheless, on the tube you should be wearing a mask, whether it can be policed or not, plus with the doors opening very regularly there is, I assume, a flush through of air giving a decent level of ventilation ( I stand to be corrected on that). Whereas, in the pub the whole idea, certainly of the quiet pub you forwarded is to meet and chat, which when doing so you tend to be close and facing the other person. Moreover, as you will be drinking, it is unlikely that people will drop their mask down and put it back up again after each sip/slurp, most will keep it down and drink, but they will also be chatting directly and close too.

Thankfully, I don't have to travel on the tube, if you do, as I know you live in London, then I genuinely feel for you :-(

Everyone including all the builders were wearing masks during the Peak this evening on the Circle and Hammersmith Line. Definitely numbers rising by the day. It is what it is.
