    Sluga

Ignoring that goal mouth scramble after he parried a shot into a danger area(which he made up for with a great save from the floor, and probably looked a lot easier to hold onto from my armchair), that lad is a damn good goalkeeper.

Key saves every game, heís a massive part of our decent first part of the season.

I think history will show heís one of the best weíve had. Can see him playing at a very high level and just hope thatís with us.

      Heís got everything

Even then it was a decent save to start with. He has been showing (since he came back into the team near the start of the year which seems about 10 years ago) that we actually got a bargain

The save he made just before the disallowed goal was awful, parrying a soft header back into the danger area. The save he made when the ball bounced back off his chest was equally as bad. He is usually a good shot stopper but like most keepers he has a howler in him, and like lots of modern keepers he rarely comes for a cross, but he is probably told not to. We could do a lot worse, but if Shea was picked over him I wouldn't be too concerned.

I thought he was solid with the high balls all game myself.

Itís all opinions of course, but he must have been very low during his nightmare spell last season. New country, new league....Probably felt like crap. Fair play to the lad for coming out the other side like he has.

He didnt really have anywhere else too parry it. Close range and your first job is to stop it going in. If it has pace on it you have a better chance of pushing it out further.

Every player has howler in them - its just a keeper it gets noticed more (think there was in the first half where he gave the ball away cheaply). As for crosses - when i Played i was superglued to my line. I knew I had a better chance of stopping it that way! (albeit i dont get paid to play!)

Shea is decent back up and competent, but think Sluga has the edge.

Could he and should he have caught both of those efforts?

Not from that range. You have to set yourself to block them first, and you have no time to judge the pace on it

You want a howler? Check out Paderbornís goal yesterday against Leverkusen.

He is a better shot stopper and kicker than Shea but both are good keepers and I agree about the mistake still. Playing with no crowds has helped slugs massively to settle.

Every game he makes a quality save, he's made up for his bad start 10 times over, Shea is ok but not quite Sluga's level that's why he's an international

I prefer Shea to Sluga. Always feel there is one mistake too many in him.
