In areas of little transmission. Good luck with that.

But officials are known to be increasingly keen to come up with a plan that would enable a phased return of fans in Tier One and possibly Tier Two areas of the country, if the lockdown is lifted, as hoped, in early December.

Seems rather infosr long term in that clubs will be able to generate more money then their rivals purely on the basis of what region they play in.

Never mind the possible effects on results of some clubs having home support and other none.

I suspect that, in the short term, it will actually cost clubs to allow fans back in as it will be STHs only and there will be a lot of extra costs involved.

From memory, the trial games didn't produce many home wins.

Basically Plymouth and Exeter are probably allowed to have fans in and that's about it.

Plymouth will be in tier two coming out at the moment. They are not far behind Luton and itís still going one way. We have had lots of cases at work (700 people work there) in last 3 weeks with many more self isolating. Created havoc at work with many production lines down. Not good considering we are a medical company supporting the Covid effort.

            600 deaths today.

            Won't happen.

Itís amazing that 10 months in you have so little comprehension of how the death toll works, yet you never stop wanging on about Corona

I was surprised when I read it but I suppose that they are hoping that this lockdown will start to drive the figures down but that relies on people sticking to the rules. The effects aren't expected to show for a couple of weeks after it started and presumably any fall in the death rate would be further down the line than that?

I noticed that the North West has the lowest R rate of any area which is presumably due to their lockdowns which were before the national one started.

The one's that a large proportion of people ignored?

Maybe the R rate would have been even lower if fewer people had ignored the lockdown. Even partial compliance helps, I suppose. There doesn't seem any other logical explanation for going from worst to best (or least worst).

It's a strange one mate. The lock down across Lancashire (except Blackpool as thats the place that makes the most money) kicked in, of course some listened to it, but a hell of a lot didn't. Yet we are to believe the sanctions worked?

How would you explain it then?

Pretty much everywhere lockdowns have happened the R rate and other indicators have gone down. When they are lifted they go back up again.

I'm happy to hear your theory though . . .

The thing staring me in the face was thousands of people not social distancing and not wearing masks the last time i was up that way a few weeks ago.

Well maybe the ones you saw on that occasion weren't representative of the overall millions that make up the population of the region?

Sorry, are you suggesting that your personal observations are somehow some kind of definitive view of how people in the North-East are behaving with regards to lockdown.

That's jimmyp level egotism that is.
