    We need to keep him fit. I have a horrible feeling that if he gets crocked our current excellent form will take a big hit. What are our options without him?

      Tunnicliffe, or possibly Cranie. At a push, Pelly has played the role before but we don't get the best out of him there.

          I watched both the Wales matches and he found good defensive positions, and rarely misplaced a pass (92% according to the match stats for the second).

              They played Bulgaria and Finland, so probably had to stand his ground a bit with the former.
              But it was his positional awareness and passing ability that I particularly noticed.

                I shall worry less! I’ve just been aware whenever we’re missing our ‘hard nut’ type in front of the defence we do tend to get bullied.
