Ok that's Wednesday done what about Rooney and derby

Personally whilst the league is a mess I am happy Wednesday have been punished I hope they do not get the points returned on appeal.
They tried to cook the books and spend too much.simple..

Derby are next, I hope they get the same although from what I understand their issue is different as they simply paid well over the odds for the stadium to cook the books rather than spin the accounts purposely like Wednesday. Still cheating tho I hope they get deducted similar points.

But they've not been punished, they only have to achieve a mid table finish to escape relegation next season (which they probably will) so therefore they will have not been punishment at all.
Total farce and I'm pretty sure they waited to see where Sheff W finished before coming to this decision so not to relegate them.

I think they’ll be found not guilty.

Sheff Wed were not found guilty of acting in bad faith in regards to the sale, meaning they acknowledged it and accepted it.

The EFL in the last few years went against UEFA regulation and allowed sale and leaseback of stadiums.

My argument would also be that what is the value of the stadiums other than a nominal amount? They are community assets, you’re only going to sell them if you relocate elsewhere and build a new stadium somewhere else.
