EFL protecting the establishment yet again. If we had gone down in Charltonís position Iíd want the best lawyers to go to town on them. Effectively let off this season for cheating. Why could they not have made the decision during the season?

Luckily we didnít and this works in our favour - this time. (Letís hope thereís not a next time) But yet another example of the league double standards cheating self protecting buffoons.

But it was an independent panel. From what I understand, the EFL wanted a more severe punishment and for the decision to be made much earlier and it to be implemented this season?

There is an article above pointing out that had they applied it this season the appeal process would have dragged on and made it rather awkward for the start of the season.

Of course had the decision not taken so long top be made and announced then it could have been applied during the season, with still a chance Wednesday would have had enough time to get out of it.

They certainly need to streamline the process for FFP so points deductions come within say 6 weeks of accounts being filed if they breach the guidelines

Why Charlton. In the three seasons the offences relate to SWFC twice made the playoffs... Ipswich and Leeds missed out by 1 spot. In the other season a 12pt penalty would not have seen them relegat.

Charlton don't deserve to benefit from the penalty any more than any teams that might next season.

Not supporting the EFL here.. just pointing out that Charlton aren't specifically hard done by.

So your saying Coventry, Rotherham and Wycombe should all benefit??

It smacks of them cutting a deal. Very poor all round.
