    Alfie Doughty from Charlton

We're in for him according to Alan Nixon on Twitter

This would be something of a coup - heavily linked with Fulham earlier in the year and is on a lot of clubs' radar according to local south London press.

Wouldn't be cheap (which surprises me as I didn't expect to see any transfer fees paid this season) but potentially very big resale value in future.

Where does he play? Most sites call him a midfielder but the South London Press calls him a flying winger?

Only 29 professional games, all in the Championship last season and got Charlton's young player of the season.

Charlton fans on twitter referring to him as a left back. Probably a converted winger.

Left back is the weakest bit of our squad (can't see Galloway staying much longer) so makes sense.

He's not a left back, left midfield, plays out wide, but he's young so might develope a different position. He would be a coup for us, but he's only burst on the scene this season, we are a great place to develope young talent. We lack genuine left sided midfield and attacking players in our first team squad

He's been playing LB for Charlton lately

I believe they played him more of a wing back than a left back, fillinig in rather than his preferred position. I believe he came on twice against us this season played left midfield. I think his talent is he's direct, good athleticism, carries the ball well and decent left foot.

No way should Charlton Athletic ever be losing a player to Luton

The superiority complex that fans of other clubs have over us makes these last 2 or 3 years (and especially last week) all the sweeter

I remember regarding Charlton as a small club back in the 80s when we regularly turned them over and they had ground problems. All about historical and personal experience and perspective I guess

Think they might have to get used to the idea.
